- To further the interest of the students in the music program at Person High School as well as the local music programs that feed into Person High School.
- Provide funds as a supplement to the money given by the school system, to enrich the band program at Person High School.

What Can I Do?
Our Band Boosters are active throughout the year. Here’s a list of some of the things we do:
- Assist the director in preparation for performances and events!
- Serve as a chaperone to any events requiring travel (away games, parades, etc.) - Make sure that you fill out the volunteer application form on the Person County School website: https://securevolunteer.com/person-county-schools/?lang=en
- Help out at the 50/50 table during games. WE NEED YOU TO HELP AT LEAST 1 GAME FOR EACH VOLUNTEER!!
- Clean and maintain our uniforms (wash bibbers, sew buttons, etc.) THIS IS SOMETHING WE’RE DOING RIGHT NOW AND NEED HELP WITH!
- Help coordinate fundraisers with businesses.
- Assist with equipment repair and maintenance!
- Construct props for marching band competitions! (It takes a village)
Can I Join Even If I Am New To The High School?
ABSOLUTELY!
Many times, a small number of members do the majority of the work. Don’t wait to get involved! Let a Band booster member or our band director know of your interest!

Meetings
The PHS Band Booster Organization meets the first Thursday of every month at 6:30 pm in the band room / teams meet or zoom (check our Band App for any changes/additional information). The meetings involve event planning, delivering financial reports and upcoming expenses, planning fundraisers, and more. The health of the band program directly correlates with parent participation in our booster organization, so please plan to attend the meetings! It is integral to staying informed and being involved in your child's education.
